Van Johnson is Carson, a mercenary sea captain willing to do anything if the price is right, in this Cold War adventure set amidst the wilds of Greece and Albania. French bombshell Martine Carol makes her English-language feature-film debut as Tracy, the wealthy Frenchwoman able to pay Carson's price and induce him to undertake a daring rescue mission inside Communist Albania.
