Nearly three decades after a viral outbreak wiped out most of Glasgow's population, the disease resurfaces in London. In order to prevent an epidemic, a cop (Rhona Mitra) leads a daring expedition into the Scottish city to find a surviving scientist (Malcolm McDowell) who may possess a cure. But she and her team soon become embroiled in a war between McDowell's savage followers and those led by his son (Craig Conway).
