Set in a LEGO world, the Scooby gang try to rescue an old movie studio, which is not only threatened by developers who want to tear it down, but by a series of movie monsters, which are suddenly haunting the place. After acting as “live bait" in Fred’s trap for a lighthouse-dwelling Sea Creature, Shaggy and Scooby swear off Scooby Snacks. Deprived of their ubiquitous treat, the duo devours a mountain of burgers at the gang’s favorite Malt Shop, accidently winning an all-expense paid trip to glamorous HOLLYWOOD! There, while touring the spooky, crumbling old BRICKTON STUDIOS, the Scooby Gang discovers that the endangered backlot is being menaced by the ghost classic movie actor BORIS KARNAK, who apparently is appearing as his old characters, the Headless Horseman, the Mummy and the Zombie! To make matters worse, the entire cast and crew of the studio’s last chance movie have all been frightened off! The Scooby Gang steps in, with Shaggy as actor, Velma as camera operator, Daphne as a star-struck extra and ascot-wearing Fred as director.
